Allow me to suggest something different then (I know this isn't the Crazy Suggestions thread) : 

The Fruit Way : Every class is top tier. Wanna pick Swordsman? Go right ahead, but you don't get class changes. Wanna go straight for LK or RK? Sure, no problems, but you don't get any Swordsman skills. Would obviously need some stat rebalancing and some skill redistribution, but perma-Swordies!

I have no idea! You imply I put any thought into that. XD

Maybe SN has the first class skills, XN has the second class skills? Or maybe one's all melee classes, the other is all ranged/casters?

Super Novices would be broken in "The Fruit Way", you gotta get rid of them.

I know, I know! Make them SUMMONERS!

...that's a bad idea, isn't it?

But RO does need a pet class! .-. Or at least a pet class that doesn't use turrets (Alchie, Mech).

Well, changing their class completelly into something the game doesn't have is a better idea than disappearing with content.

[ oh I didn't mean to imply anything, I wasn't particularly thinking anything, it was just something that popped up in my head ]
[ I dunno, seems like they won't be exactly SN anymore, so might as well change the name too ]
[ I think you might as well make it so one have the 1st/3rd classes skills and other have the 2nd classes skills.

Make SNs into Cutemancers and Jellopy Knights.

My opinion is that the Fruit Way sounds fun, but the problem is that the SNs will need shittons of work. A possibility with the Fruit Way could be that the classes had their skills rearranged so that every class has its own theme: Swordy fire/berserk, Crus heal, Pally shield, Knight dueling, LK add control and so on for every class.

That would be badass, but also sooo much work. XD

Skot doesn't quite enjoy work, is what I'm saying.

I'm free to do work on the skill tree designs... I've spent most of my time lately playing Civ5/WoW/coding my own game, so I don't know if I'll have the attention span for it. Oh well.

Are you me? O= We've been playing the exact same things and doing nothing with our lives! Holy shit!

Also, the main problem would be getting Skot to actually implement it. If he doesn't dismiss the idea outright. ._.

EDIT : We've even been coding games! What is it, a 2D oldschool indie hardcore roguelike CRPG puzzle platformer zombie apocalypse retro throwback, too?

Oh well. Guess I'll do something related to this tomorrow afternoon. I'm currently imagining a new SN skill that's just like Water Ball... Except the balls are Porings. And they all drop apples on death.
