Server is kinda being fixed right now, but really right now! So don't worry, eventually a fix/answer will come.

When I meant right now it's a matter of this week actually...
The notion of time of dead server lurkers is kinda different. This week we finally got a client that is supposed to work and so we expect the few errors lasting should be fixed around these days. If you have patience to check everyday for updates for the next week or two I'm guess it will be all right.
Also I'm just a player XD

I was asleep when this bug report came up <_<;

Let me look into it.... it's weird, but probably not so random, perhaps I can find the answer in the rathena forums.

[ fun, in my character selection screen I have a lvl 150 novice with 0 in all statuses. ]
[ he have 0 hp, but have 3089 SP ]
[ and is wearing a strangeish equipment ]
[ in my end though, I just plainly didn't update the client, so it's not a server problem ]

Okay, I fixed it. Took me all morning... but yes, there was some code in the char-server that needed to be updated in order to support the character-select window, in particular, the creation process was broken.

In any case, that's fixed now (or in a few seconds when the server finishes compiling).

Serveriskill:
Are you using the new client? Are you using mouro.exe to start it (instead of trying to run directly mouro_client.exe)? Hexed clients will instantly close if you try to open them directly without the proper arguments, which is why a launcher is required now (hence, I renamed the client to mouro_client.exe to let the launcher be called mouro.exe).

bomnxhead:
That's expected, the character select packets have changed. You need to update your client. Just get the MouRO installer from the website and install it. If your RO install is not updated to at least April 2013, then I suggest you do that, too.

what really weirds me out is that using an older client allow me to actually see the complete login window with the characteristic music of login, enter the server, but when its time to show the characters it tells me "failed to connect to the server" D:

edit: also when i try to connect via launcher the process wont stop after closing it so i must manually close it via windows manager.
edit2: this is the windows report about the error i am getting:

Hmm... damn, I didn't count on the hexed client not working in some systems. Damn Windows.

I imagine you have a more recent RO install... though, even if you had an OLD install of RO, the client would still run (or at least throw errors regarding missing files). Just crashing like that is odd :S

I will try hexing a more basic client to have people try out. One moment.
